I am deeply upset that Vitamin Shoppe has discontinued Choles-Aid. Several years ago my husband's cholesterol got very high and the doctor wanted to put him on Lipitor. I was totally against that and did some research on supplements to help reduce cholesterol. I chose Vitamin Shoppe's Choles-Aid, beta sitosterol and garlic. In 5 weeks I got his cholesterol down 79 points. The doctor didn't believe it and made him repeat the blood work. Even with that evidence, the doctor still didn't want to believe it. So, for all these years his colesterol has remained perfect, in the normal range, and now Vitamin Shoppe discontinued it!! I am actively searching for another product from any other company that contains the same or very similar ingredients. Vitamin Shoppe has discontinued other products I use regularly and am sad to say they are about to lose a very loyal customer. I spend THOUSANDS of dollars every year and I am prepared to say "goodbye". It's their loss.

I just hope the company looks at these boards and will perhaps consider reactivating Choles-Aid. I work in a pharmacy (national chain) and I often refer patients to Vitamin Shoppe for Choles-Aid and many other products. I will stop doing that in the future, since I don't feel I can rely on the availability of their products anymore. They will be losing more than just one customer and I generate many customers for them.

Very sad.
