Hey Dshere. From what it seems, nicely put by the person above me, is that your bodys grown used to the routine youre currently doing OR youre not pushing yourself with anything major. a lot of advertisements and people on television will so " oh just take this and this and youll get a 6 pack in no time" its totally not like that at all. Its all about eating right, and working hard. straight up, real talk. im a 210 pound guy at 6'1, i put time in the gym everyday, run 3-4miles everytime i go in and my workouts consist of strenuous ab workouts every other day ( lets those abs heal and its best done every other day for me atleast). i dont have a 6-pack at all, my abs are there, but there not how id want them u know? and ive been doing this for quiet some time. i think with a better game plane, and a stronger workout thats growing more strenous or hrder every week, is what u need in order to see changes.
If you want abs, you should actually focus on cardio and compound exercises in the gym that target multiple muscle groups simultaneously (eg deadlifts, squats, hang cleans, etc.) These will actually work your abs as well and build core strength which is the first step to developing not only nice abs but an entire physique

Hi Dsheere:

See you have gotten some workout feedback from the community so far and I know you mentioned that your diet is pretty good. Think it would be a good idea if you could share what your typical diet looks like on a given day as I am sure the community may be able to offer some feedback on that front as well.

Full body nutritional cleansing is also a needed factor in the equation. It helped me drop pounds of body fat, and made my abs show.

Hi,  In my experiences-it has to do with overall lifestyle not just targeting abdominal movements. You get your best bang for your buck by doing big body multi-joint movements along with a balanced diet. Carbs are needed, just in the amounts that equal your activity level, look into olympic style movements, and short bursts of power moves. Long extended steady state cardio will also hinder your quest for great abs, Hope this helps. JM

As far as abs go, the one catch all that you can do is make sure that your diet is good to go.  I agree with Frannie.  You should double check your diet, keep an eye on all your macro nutrients(protein, fat, carbs.)  Also, 1 mile every other day is not enough to cut bodyfat unless you are following that with something like circuit training.  An awesome plan for cutting is interval training.  For example: Do cardio at 14 minute intervals following each interval with 1 minute of abs. (you need to do some ab work.  because if your abs have not been developed your not going to get them to show very well.) follow the formula below. It equals a 1 hour of workout.

Low intensity(e.g.walking at an incline on the treadmill.) 14 min
                                  Abs 1min.
High intensity(precore maching, High intens. cycl.) 14 min
                                  Abs 1min
Low(low intens. eliptical) 14 min
                                  Abs 1min
High intensity(running on tread mill, high eliptical etc.) 14 min
                                  Abs 1min

Hi, Jonni Bravo-Not sure what happened I was responding to dsheere look at response 9 of 10 and that is what I replied to that question, sorry for the confusion. JM
I too am trying to achieve great abs, I have a treadmill and am going to make 16 different workouts to randomly select each week. I also do a stamina run for football once a week, I believe running and doing proper ab exercises will help you.
